Erta Ale is a volcano in Ethiopia, located in the highlands of the Afar region, with a caldera type crater. It is believed that this volcano eats lava longer than others. Erta Ale is a basaltic shield volcano located in a 1.6 km caldera. X 0.7 km. The volcano has been active since 1967.
