2.Lake Nakuru
By Nikkolo CC1
Lake Nakuru is one of the lakes located along the Great Rift Valley in Kenya, 156 km from the capital of Nairobi. Its area is about 40 km2, and the maximum depth is about 3 m. Nakuru is a high mountain lake, it is located at an altitude of 1759 m above sea level. It is fed by two large rivers - Nyiro and Nderit. "Nakuru" in Masai language means "dusty place". Lake Nakuru is super salty because of the high content of carbonates and bicarbonates in the water, so only rare plants and living things can be found that can adapt to such conditions: a few algae, several zooplankton species, small crustaceans and just one species of fish. Surprisingly, this seemingly meager range of aquatic flora and fauna attracts countless birds to the lake, the most notable of which are small flamingos.

3.Maasai Mara
Maasai Mara National Reserve is located in the southwest of Kenya in the Great Rift Valley at 275 from Nairobi, at an altitude of 1650 meters above sea level. The park borders the Serengeti National Park of Tanzania in the south, with the slopes of Syria in the west and the Masai villages in the north, east and west. Arrows and ceramics of the Neolithic Age (about 2000 years ago) were found in the Masai Mara Park. Masai occupy the territory of a modern park from the 17th century - of course, along with wild animals, which in fact are the true masters of the park. Masai are a people who have preserved their way of life and traditions, although they live outside the reserve, but on deductions from park fees (20%). Near the park you can visit the maniata - Masai village of shepherds-nomads: to inspect the housing, to communicate with the population. Accept hospitably - additional earnings (photos, souvenirs, archery for money, etc.) Maasai themselves can hunt in the territory of the national park. The entire territory of the park can be seen from a balloon, but this is not a cheap pleasure.
